Synapticon SOMANET Motion Cores are based on xCore and ARM processor architectures and offer 8 to 32 programmable 32-bit RISC cores per chip, communicating via a high-speed real-time processor bus. This highly parallel, hard real-time architecture is the foundation of Synapticon's superior control performance and the advanced features of SOMANET products.

MOTION CONTROL MEETS THE FUSION REACTOR
Synapticon unleashes the power of integration. Discrete components, such as separate servo drives, position feedback sensors, safety functions and brakes, are automatically associated with an overhead of size and cost, as mechanical and electrical interfaces must ensure compatibility between a wide range of devices. In addition, the interaction between the devices is limited.
Position encoders integrated into the servo drive save considerable space and costs. Additionally, access to more data through the direct coupling of sensor read head and servo drive CPU enables new possibilities in calibration so that cost-effective encoder technology can offer high-end performance.
