SYNAPTICON ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT -
SIMON FISCHINGER BECOMES CEO TO DRIVE GLOBAL GROWTH.

Simon Fischinger

STUTTGART, Germany – December 19, 2025
– Synapticon GmbH, a leading provider of solutions in the field of integrated drive technology and functional safety, today announced a planned change in leadership. The aim is to further accelerate the commercial expansion and operational maturity of the company.

Effective January 1, 2026, Synapticon's shareholders have appointed Simon Fischinger as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Fischinger, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer (COO), has been with the company since 2013. He was instrumental in establishing product development and delivery structures. His appointment signals a clear focus on operational excellence and global market penetration.

Synapticon's founding DNA remains unchanged in the new structure:

  • Andrija Feher, co-founder, retains his now expanded role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and ensures that Synapticon's roadmap remains at the forefront of technology in the industry.
  • Gonzalo Buelta continues in his role as Chief Growth Officer (CGO), leading global sales and partnership strategies.

Continuity and commitment to the ecosystem

The change in leadership represents strategic continuity and leverages Synapicon's established product lines—SOMANET, ACTILINK, and POSITRON—to serve the evolving landscape of robotics and industrial engineering.

"I am very excited to lead Synapticon into this exciting new chapter," says Simon Fischinger. "Our customers rely on us as a supplier of critical components for their robot systems and automated machines. Together with Andrija Feher, Gonzalo Buelta, and the management team, my focus is on reliability, quality, and continuous growth. We remain the 'Switzerland of robotics and automation'—a neutral, committed partner dedicated to the success of the entire ecosystem."

Nikolai Ensslen takes on the role of partner

Nikolai Ensslen, co-founder and outgoing CEO, is stepping down from his operational duties to focus on building a new company in the field of "physical AI." As a shareholder, he remains committed to Synapticon's success.

This transition allows Ensslen to devote himself to his new venture while ensuring that Synapticon maintains its high standards of neutrality and confidentiality of customer data. By separating the management of Synapticon and the new venture, the company is underscoring its position as an independent technology enabler.

"Synapticon has successfully fulfilled its fundamental mission. We have established an innovative and market-changing technology portfolio for motion and safety, which has been confirmed by strong market response and prominent strategic partnerships," says Nikolai Ensslen. "Now that the technology has proven itself and we have gained significant traction in the fields of robotics and advanced mechanical engineering, Synapticon needs leadership that focuses on industrial scaling and precise implementation. Simon Fischinger is the ideal leader for this chapter. This transition ensures that Synapticon remains the neutral partner that the industry trusts."
