SYNAPTICON PROVIDES HUMANOID SAFETY AS A ONE-STOP-SHOP WITHIN THE NVIDIA HALOS ECOSYSTEM

Synapticon provides humanoid safety as a one-stop shop within the NVIDIA Halos ecosystem

From Safety-Compute and certified actuators to a complete safety software stack and certification engineering services—Synapticon provides everything a humanoid needs to achieve certifiable safety. Fully compatible with NVIDIA Halos.

Schönaich, June 25, 2026 — Synapticon, the leader in functional safety for robotics, is positioning its Safety-AI platform POSITRON as a one-stop safety solution for humanoid robots developed within the NVIDIA Halos ecosystem. As a member of NVIDIA’s robotics safety ecosystem, Synapticon provides the complete, certified safety stack that runs on the robot—from safety compute and certified actuators to the safety software layer and the engineering services that guide the entire robot through the certification process. This unique combination of innovative technologies has just been honored with the A3 Innovation Award at Automate 2026 in Chicago.

NVIDIA provides the compute platform and ecosystem that simplify the path to certification. Synapticon relies on POSITRON—a platform that has been delivering Multi-Axis Safe Motion, Safe Human Detection, and AI Behavioral Safety to the market since 2024. POSITRON integrates directly with NVIDIA Halos, providing humanoid developers with an all-in-one safety solution from a single source, rather than having to piece together components from multiple vendors.

"A safety-certified chip doesn't make a humanoid certifiably safe—the system does," says Simon Fischinger, CEO of Synapticon. "NVIDIA provides the industry with the platform and the framework. We provide the certified safety software that runs on the robot, plus the engineering expertise to guide a complete humanoid through the certification process. Synapticon offers this as a one-stop solution—and that’s exactly the part the ecosystem can’t put together on its own."

Certification is at the heart of the value. Writing safety software is relatively simple; making it certifiable to SIL3/PLe is the real challenge—and this is precisely where Synapticons’ engineering services are indispensable. POSITRON is certified by TÜV Süd to SIL3/PLe and developed in accordance with the relevant standards for automotive, industrial, and AI safety, including ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO/IEC TS 22440, and ISO/IEC 5469.

"Because we provide both the drive system and system-level safety from a single source, we can do things that a pieced-together stack cannot," says Dr. Florian Weißhardt, Head of Synapticon Intelligence. "Safe Active Damping at the drive level and Safe Guided Falling at the system level work together to control how a humanoid falls—not as a simple on/off switch, but in finely graded steps that depend on direction, time, speed, and position. This makes a fall measurably more controlled, and that’s only possible when actuation and safety come from the same source."

Synapticon delivers this offering in collaboration with its partner network. NVIDIA provides the compute and ecosystem foundation, while Reynolds & Moore serves as the on-site consulting and integration partner for safety engineering.
