tl;dr: Pinorder of IFM connector on connectors page of C22 documentation is either mistaken or at least vertically mirrored which – if so – should be noted there somewhere.
Hello dear synapticons
I did a little connection check from the soldering onnections to the IFM connector on the IFM GPIO D board. I checked the 3V3, the Vin and the GND connections since these are the only ones that are measurable for a normal human beeing with an off the shelf multimeter. That’s why I can not say anything about the connections of the IO ports.
Now of course this view changes when mounted on the C22, but if its mounted on a C22’s IFM side int the view shown in the documentation, the GND pins stay on the left hand side and the Vin as well as the 3v3 pins stay on the right hand side of the view.
However, according to the pin mapping the GND pins are spread accros pins 41 to 79 which on the connectors page, are shown to be on the right hand side. For the Vin and 3V3 pins, this applys the other way round.
A little clarification on that matter would be nice.
Thank you for pointing out! The COM side of C22 was inverted in the documentation. We are updating it now.
Hi…If you do get the required connector and crimps you’re really going to need a PA-09 crimper, those crimps are really really tiny.
The easier option might be to buy some pre-crimped PH assemblies from ebay with the matching header and replace the on board header with the PH one.
